  • The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce said that the metro area ranked among the top three U.S. regions for project announcements in Site Selection magazine’s 2025 Governor’s Cup & took sixth for projects-per-capita, marking its third consecutive year of national recognition. The ranking was announced Tuesday.  WNKY

HEALTH NEWS

  • Local WKU students raised over $141,000 for Norton Children’s Hospital during Dance Big Red at the Raymond B. Preston Health + Activities Center this past weekend. The record-setting event also featured a Community/Dance Little Red Hour with over 200 special guests supporting local families.  WNKY
  • T.J. Community Mission Foundation announced on the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home’s 5-year anniversary that a final gift of $70,245, along with donations and a USDA loan, met the $3.5 million goal. The hospice—open since 2021—has cared for nearly 300 patients and now shifts focus to long-term sustainability.  WNKY

  • The Warren Central Dragons beat the South Warren Spartans 55-38 at E. A. Diddle Arena on Tuesday, March 10 to earn their fourth Region 4 championship in five years — advancing them to the KHSAA State Basketball Tournament in Lexington.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Western Kentucky will begin their postseason on Thursday night as the Hilltoppers face No.6 seed Kennesaw State at VBC Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama. Coach Hank Plona said the team is set to rebound from recent losses and injury concerns.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • WKU head coach Tyson Helton held spring practice yesterday with nearly 60% new players and coaching staff changes as the team builds chemistry ahead of the Red & White Spring Showcase on April 11 at Houchens-Smith Stadium.
