  • Med Center Health Adult Day Center hosted its first-ever Winter Ball Monday morning at Whitestone Barn with over 70 guests enjoying dancing and cheerful support — a highlight of their eight-month partnership. Organizers already plan next year’s ball and a summer event at the same venue.  WNKY

  • Ashlee Wilson of the Herald Chambers Theatre Troupe, along with Marlaina Napier and Kaleah Francis, joined Wednesday's SOKY Speaks to discuss the upcoming production of Hairspray – a show set to bring fresh local theater to the community.  WNKY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Today, the U.S. Education Department rescinded about $900K from key programs at Jennings Creek Elementary and Moss Middle, halting staffing and playground remodels — risking additional funding for community initiatives. Warren County Public Schools now must find new funds to continue programs that boosted attendance and family engagement.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Ashlee Wilson and Bob Bubnis discussed an upcoming robotics camp at Aviation Heritage Park that promises hands-on tech learning for local students. More event details will be released soon (stay tuned).  WNKY

SPORTS NEWS

  • Glasgow senior Landon Minton scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Scotties beat Warren East 85 to 50 in Tuesday's District 15 tournament semifinals at Glasgow High School.   • Warren Central’s Kaleb Prince scored nine of his team high 15 points in the fourth quarter to help the Dragons win 54 to 39 over Evangel Christian on Wednesday, Feb. 25, plus the team will host Bowling Green in the District 14 Tournament on Tuesday.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Caverna’s Colonels won 78-54 against Hart County in the first round of the Boys’ 18th District Tournament today as players including Gavin Lightning and Cortavian Maxey drove the team to a strong performance.  WCLU Radio
  • Allen County-Scottsville junior Avery Morris broke the school record during the Feb. 17 win over South Warren when she needed 16 points to tie the old mark but finished with 33 points (she credited her teammates and coach for the support).  Bowling Green Daily News
