- ➤ Richard Gutierrez, a Healthcare Administration major from Huntingburg, Indiana, was crowned WKU's 2026 Coming Home King on Saturday night during halftime of the WKU vs. MTSU game at Diddle Arena; he was one of 20 candidates sponsored by Alpha Tau Omega. WBKO
- ➤ WKU Sisterhood disbanded while the WKU Restaurant Group will move into the former Confucius Institute later this week — campus events also included a maid and butler café hosted by the Asian-American Association and a men’s basketball win over MTSU on Feb. 15. College Heights Herald
- ➤ WKU is repairing Normal & Regents halls, which were closed last summer after structural issues were found; contractors are nearly done with the demolition phase to meet a planned reopening by fall 2027. - ➤ Kentucky’s forest fire hazard season started Feb.15 and runs until April 30. The Energy and Environment Cabinet warns that starting a fire within 150 feet of woodland or brushland is illegal except during allowed hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) or when the ground is snow-covered. WCLU Radio
