Beshear pitched a universal pre-K proposal at the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, calling for $40.5 million for the program and $10 million for a data system, with funding from the sports wagering excise tax to boost school readiness for all young Kentuckians. - ➤ WKU President Caboni announced that Regents and Normal halls will reopen in fall 2027 (with repairs on schedule) and work will begin to tear down Hilltopper Hall day after spring graduation to clear space for a new housing complex. - ➤ Local doctor Dr. Suman Shekar at Med Center Health in Bowling Green said 50 to 60 percent of the population experiences winter fatigue due to lower daylight and social isolation.
