  • The Salvation Army is preparing in Bowling Green as a winter storm is predicted to bring ice and dangerous travel conditions this weekend. Mobile kitchens, warming centers, and shelters are on standby to aid residents + emergency services are coordinating with local agencies.  WNKY
  • Dance Mini Red held a fundraiser Friday evening at Rockfield Elementary where students learned a new dance routine and played games to support Norton Children’s Hospital while raising $1,185.71 of a $5,000 goal; the group will meet again on Feb. 27 at South Warren High School.  WNKY
  • Need More Acres Farm delivered extra supplies today ahead of a winter storm, increasing its weekly drop from 20+ families to 30. Farm worker Elizabeth Howell said the added items will help more locals prepare for the cold weather.  WBKO

  • The Bowling Green Fire Department held its 5th Annual Awards Ceremony Friday evening at the Public Safety Training Center, honoring staff for service and sacrifice; award winners included Firefighter of the Year Dylan Hawkins, Engineer of the Year Stephen Estes, and Officer of the Year Chris Britton.  WNKY
